QRX Meet
Privacy Policy
QRX Meet is a video meeting service. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information and the app does not show ads.
Who we are
The service is operated at qrxmeet.com. Privacy questions and deletion requests go to hello@qrxmeet.com.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, and a password. The password is stored only as a hash.
- Meeting details: title, meeting ID, schedule, host, lock state, and whether chat is allowed.
- In-meeting activity: display name, join and leave time, mute, camera on or off, raised hand, and screen-share status.
- Chat messages you send in a meeting.
- Files you choose to share: images and PDFs, including the file name.
- Whiteboard drawings made during a meeting.
Camera, microphone, and screen
The Android app asks for the camera, microphone, and screen-capture permission only so you can be seen, heard, and share your screen in a meeting. You can turn the camera and microphone off during a call. Audio, video, and screen share are sent live to the other people in that meeting. QRX Meet does not record meetings and does not keep a copy of the call after it ends.
Live media is carried by LiveKit Cloud, a real-time media provider. LiveKit processes the audio, video, and screen share to deliver the call. It also receives your display name and a numeric participant ID so the room can tell people apart. That media is not used for advertising.
Photos and files
If you share an image or a PDF, the app uses the system file picker. We receive only the file you select, and we store it so the other people in that meeting can see it. We do not scan your gallery in the background.
Information collected automatically
The server may keep standard technical logs such as IP address, browser or app type, and the time of a request. These logs are used to run and protect the service. The app does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use information
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To start, schedule, join, and run meetings.
- To show your name, video, audio, chat, files, and whiteboard to the other people in the same meeting.
- To let the host mute, admit, remove, or block a participant in that meeting.
- To answer support and account-deletion requests.
- To investigate abuse reports and keep the service secure.
Who can see it
Other people in the same meeting can see your display name, and, when you choose to send them, your video, audio, screen, chat, shared files, and whiteboard marks. Hosts and co-hosts can see meeting controls such as mute and hand raise.
We share data with service providers only so they can run the product for us: the host of qrxmeet.com, and LiveKit for live audio and video. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to prevent harm or abuse.
How long we keep it
Account details stay until you delete the account or we close it. Chat, shared files, and whiteboard marks stay with the meeting until they are cleared or the account that owns them is deleted. Live audio and video are not stored after the call. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Children
QRX Meet is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13. See the Child safety page. If we learn that we have an account for a child under 13, we will delete it.
Your choices
- You can turn your camera and microphone off in the meeting.
- You can leave a meeting at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it. The steps are on the Delete account page.
- You can email hello@qrxmeet.com to ask for a copy of the account data we hold.
Security
The website and app talk to qrxmeet.com over HTTPS. Live media uses an encrypted LiveKit connection. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. Continued use of QRX Meet after the update means you accept the revised policy.
